Up North

Over the break I went snowboarding up north at Boyne Mountain. It was a lot of fun. There was new snow every day and it was snowing nonstop. It was a lot different than the icy snow at Brighton. That was the first time I went on a black diamond snowboarding but I made it down without falling and it was a steep part. Every day I would go for almost 8 hours a day so by the last day I was exhausted. Yesterday I went to Mt. Brighton for the ski club. I did the rainbow box for the first time. I got nervous but I rode out of it. Then I did it some more then moved on to the boxes and some of the smaller rails. This picture is a rainbow box. It was a lot of fun. I learned how to do a small board slide and tail press. I think that was the best I have ever done on my snowboard. Now the next time I go back I know what I am going to do. I think the next ski trip is next Thursday so I can try some new rails. Hopefully they have new ones next time I go.

Thanksgiving

This year I am at my dads hous for Thanksgiving. we are going to my Uncles house. He just got a 60 inch flat screen so hopefully they don't black out the lions game. this year i think everyone will be there because last year everyone was out of town. I think it is going to be fun either way.

Burton

Yesterday I got new bindings for my snowboard. They are the Burton Freestyles. They are black and white. They have the toe cup so it holds your foot in better than the straps. I've wanted them but they used to only work on burton boards but now they switched them so they can work on all of them. if you go to this site they have bindings close to mine. http://www.burton.com/default.aspx

I am going snowboarding tomorrow at Pine Knob and at Brighton on saturday. this year i am going to work on the terrain park. I started to last year but the snow started melting and it got icey so it was even harder. also i got a little bigger so I fit the board better. I cant wait to try out my new bindings and see how they are. I also got new gloves that are also Burton. they are warmer than my old gloves were. hopefully i will go out west to Utah to go skiing this year.

world series

I was surprised when the Phillies won the first game of the World Series. A lot of the people I know thought the Rays would win it but they didn’t. On ESPN today they were showing some things and it said that the team that wins the first game usually wins it all. I was surprised that the Rays did so well because last year they were horrible. If I had to guess I think the Phillies are going to win the next game but the third one the Rays will win. If the Rays win the World Series that will be a big turnaround from last year. This was them after they won the first game. they just played the second game and the Rays won. that means i was wrong. i was surprised that they won because the Phillies started out good in the series.

Detroit Tigers

In the past couple days I watched the tigers get swept by the Indians. They had some pretty sad games. in a couple of the games they were doing good but they always end up losing it in the end. they just don't look like they are even trying any more now that they have no chance in making the post season. I went to a couple of games this year and they won but besides that they havent been doing good. Now they are playing the Royals again and they are probably going to lose again. I went to one off the play off games when they were in it and it was an awsome game because they one and everyone was going crazy, but now there are always empty seats everwhere you look. They keep getting new players but they don't do anything for the team. in the picture this is what it looked like at the game i went to when they won. They keep saying we need good pichers but we don't, we just need a good team. Well they just lost another series but at least they didnt get swept. they won the first three games and were looking good but then they had to go lose the fourth and mess up there last full series. They looked like they wanted to end the season with a sweep but they lost. then they played the White Sox and even though they wouldn't move on they cold make it so the White Sox couldn't move on. snowboarding

I can't wait for it to snow.I just got a new board last year and now it is the right size. hopefully i can do better this year. last year i started getting into it more and learned how to do a 360 and ride some small rails. I really started doing good when i went up north last year because there was a lot of new snow and i was on my own most of the time so i didn't have to wait for any body to catch up to. Back to my board. i got a new one last year for my birthday. it is an Atomic board with yellow and black and gold. the bindings are white, yellow and black. And finally the boots are just black. last year i was finally wearing in the board when the snow was starting to melt so this year it should be ready to go. this year i have to get new snow pants so hopefully i can get some cool ones.
